This software calibration requires that you send your ECU in (or select the option for us to send in a core), and the software upload is performed only at Epic Motorsports. The ECU is then fully sealed by Epic and returned directly to you. If you need your ECU returned by a certain date, please contact us to ensure proper handling and to determine expedited shipping needs – please allow one workweek for turnaround.

For all ECU work, you must send the ECU from your running car as a core. 7/2003 production is the approximate change from MS43 to the MS45 ECU, but please confirm by visually inspecting the label on your ECU before ordering. MS43 ECU is the required ECU for Spec E46. Later model 330’s can easily be retrofitted to the MS43 ECU.
This race-spec calibration is for E46 330 cars only. We sell Epic Motorsports calibrations with these and many other advanced non-industry standard features for a wide range of BMW models – please inquire.
NOTE: This spec tune is strictly for off-road use on race or track-only cars. It shall not be used in vehicles driven on public streets. We will not provide any support for use of this part in a street-car application and doing so will void any warranty.
You must have a properly running car before tuning your ECU. Adding the Epic calibration to your ECU will not solve your pre-existing problem or make Epic Motorsports or Morehead Speed Works responsible for diagnosing your pre-existing problem. Please read any fault codes present and get the problem fixed prior to upgrading. (Some fault codes are normal for race cars with generic software; please provide us with a list of the codes for review including the fault name and BMW fault number).
You will need to remove your ECU and send it directly to Epic Motorsports for them to load the Spec E46 calibration and seal the ECU. Insure your package for $600 and include a printed copy of your Morehead Speed Works order. Then email your tracking number to [email protected] and include your order number in the email. The sealing process of your ECU is not as simple as a custom flash, and therefore will require up to one business week for processing.
Once sealed, your ECU will not be able to be overwritten or modified in the future. You can have Epic Motorsports reverse this procedure in the future for a fee, which will require opening the ECU and breaking the Spec E46 Seals. If your Spec E46 seals are broken, you must return your ECU to Epic Motorsports for a full inspection and potential reflash (and additional charge).

EWS Delete- choose this to remove the BMW anti-theft system. This allows you to run the car without a key (chipped), EWS box (located behind dash, above dead pedal), antenna (ring around ignition switch.) This makes the car more reliable with less chance of an EWS related no-crank event.
MS43 DME Core- If you add this to your cart we’ll provide a working DME and ship it to Epic. No need to pull yours from the car or if you’re converting from MS45, you don’t have to source one. We also wipe the data from the DME, rewriting a fresh copy of the latest software BMW used for manual M54B30s.
