Set to begin opening at 80° C (176F).
Compatible with the Zionsville mechanical thermostat kit used on M54.
Note: we’ve found that some Zionsville mechanical thermostat kits were modified differently than others and are not compatible with the Mahle Behr thermostat. If you have a plastic housing that looks like the photo below, you will need to use the Wahler brand 80C thermostat.
The small cone in the middle that has the epoxy over it is what you are looking for. If it appears like this with a cone shape and a round blob of epoxy then you’ll need the shorter Wahler t-stat. If that cone has been removed and the epoxy is lower, than the Mahle t-stat will work.
