MSW Ginetta G56 Enhanced Brake Pedal

MSW’s Take: We quickly discovered that the factory setup of the Ginetta G56’s brake pedal was creating excessive driver fatigue during long endurance racing stints.  We developed this new pedal face to help increase the comfort of our drivers while also improving their braking consistency.

The G56 Ginetta comes from the factory with manual brakes and sequential transmission, a near perfect setup for left-foot braking.  Unfortunately the stock brake pedal placement creates a somewhat awkward angle with the driver’s left leg, which can lead to exhaustion and an inability to consistently achieve maximum brake pressure.

The pedal arm and assembly cannot be easily moved to either side due to the master cylinder placement on the firewall, so we went a different route and designed a new pedal.

The MSW Enhanced Brake Pedal for the Ginetta G56 offers a much larger surface that is placed off center to achieve a more natural leg placement.  Not only wider, but also taller to provide additional leverage for drivers who need a little more assistance.  The curved surface is ergonomically designed to minimize fatigue and provide a positive feel to the driver.

Each pedal is machined from a solid billet of 6061-T6 aluminum, with additional strengthening designed into the rear of the pedal face.  The pedal mounts to the stock arm in the same exact manner as the original pedal using the factory hardware.

The pedal comes with a sheet of high quality grip tape (skateboard deck tape) to be applied by the customer, which can easily be trimmed or customized using a plain razor blade.
