E46 CANbus Plug-n-Play Adapter

This CANbus adapter harness allows for simple plug-n-play installation of data loggers to E46, Z4, and certain Z3 models.
This adapter provides CAN-Hi, CAN-Low, ignition switched power, and ground to a 4-pin Deutsch DTM connector. A second cable (purchased separately or user created) is required to go from the 4-pin connector to your datalogging device(s) such as AiM, Solo(2) DL, AEM, MoTeC, RaceCapture/Pro, etc.
Options: Always-On power receives constant 12V power from the battery, Ignition-On is powered only when the ignition switch (or key) is set on. The 2-pin adapter provides only CANbus connections, the installer must run power and ground to the logger device.
Note: Only for vehicles with Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) [Mk20 or Mk60 ABS]
This adapter splices into an existing circuit of the vehicle (steering angle sensor) with approximately 2.5-3A of power available (each vehicle can vary slightly). If your device(s) will use this much power or more, please consider the 2-pin version that only provides a CAN-Bus splice, then wire separate power and ground to your device(s).
This wiring adapter plugs inline with the OEM plug to your steering angle sensor, giving you a quick access point for power, ground, and CANbus signals to your logger.
In order to connect to your logger you will need the corresponding DTM connector.
You will need the a 4 pin or 2 pin receptacle kit.
The pin-out (with wire colors) of the always hot 4-pin adapter is:
1: CAN High (Yellow w/ Red Stripe)
2: CAN Low (Yellow w/ Brown Stripe)
3: Ground (Brown)
4: Power (Red)
The pin-out (with wire colors) of the ignition hot 4-pin adapter is:
1: CAN High (Yellow w/ Red Stripe)
2: CAN Low (Yellow w/ Brown Stripe)
3: Ground (Brown)
4: Power (Green)
The pin-out of the 2-pin adapter is:

2: CAN Low (Yellow w/ Brown Stripe)
