NOTE: 12/2022 – These 2008 FIA Spec Rain lights have been replaced by the newer, brighter 2019 FIA Spec Rain Lights that can be found here.
These 2008 FIA Spec Lights are still compliant to all amateur racing series in the US.
MSW’s Take: Don’t confuse this with other “afterburner” lights on the market that aren’t any brighter than your brake lights. Cartek’s lights are truly bright enough to penetrate through water spray. This model allows for both solid (static) and flashing, all depending on how you wire it.
This light meets the rain light requirements for American Endurance Racing and other series that require a flashing function and solid under braking (or the opposite)
The Cartek “Afterburner” FIA Rain Light can be wired to run static on or flash at a 4hz rate. You can also wire it to the brake circuit to activate the flash or solid light feature depending on your sanctioning body’s requirements.
CARTEK have been producing electronic safety equipment for the motorsport industry for over 10 years and were the first company to produce a rain light to the 2008 FIA specification in accordance with Technical List No: 19.
