MSW’s Take: We run these guides on all our race cars. We wouldn’t recommend them on a street driven car due to the increased servicing requirements, but on a track-only car they are a must. They help reduce pad taper and also unnecessary caliper movement.
Fits nearly all BMWs with ATE calipers
3 Series: E30/36/46/9x (Excludes E90/92 M3 & 335i)
1 Series: E82/88 128i only
5 Series: E28/34/39
6 Series: E24
7 Series: E32
8 Series: E31
Z Series: E36-7-8/85/86/89
Includes parts for one axle (two calipers), fits both front and rear ATE calipers.
Install Notes: Install with brass lip on the inside of the caliper, snap ring on outside. Clean and lubricate with high temp brake lubricant (Permatex Purple Ceramic or CRC Silaramic) at every pad change. Torque to 21 ft-lbs with medium (blue) thread lock. Remove OEM rattle clips, as they place a side load on the pins and aren’t needed in a race/track application.
